this will be a needed break for us, folks. so we need a break from not just the temperatures where they've been cool, but also from this active pattern we've been in. by midweek, though, next week, we're going to be dropping back down. so this is just going to hold for the early part of next week. so we've had, of course, sandy, and we've had the coastal storm. we've had this type of pattern. big dip in the jet stream. that means unsettled weather. it's also north of this jet stream. chilly to cold conditions. and coming up, for the weekend, and early part of next week, we're going to see milder air moving in. so through at least monday, maybe even tuesday, we're going to eke out some milder and some warmer conditions with this change in our weather pattern. lows overnight, 29 degrees frederick. leesburg, areas around sterling dropping to 31. 28 in manassas. 36 degrees in d.c. for the overnight temperature. 32 la plata and around waldorf. again, we're going to be cold here for the overnight. but warming up nicely tomorrow. tod

as forecasters really help us shape our own forecast. of course, we're looking at all the different computer models to figure out exactly where we want to go with the storm. when we track a storm like sandy, let's look as it forms just south of jamaica. it actually formed last monday. one of the computer models stood out, and even last monday before the storm even formed, before it even had a name, one of the computer models in particular actually giving us this storm coming up the coast. and that particular computer model comes out of europe, believe it or not. it is the european model. and that particular model brought that storm right over towards the coast. it made that left-hand turn very, very quickly. right into our region. this was the model we looked at. this is the model we have stuck with, because by far, it is a better computer model than, unfortunately, the american models, which not enough money has been put in the american models lately. even last wednesday, the american models taking sandy out to sea. it wasn't until wedn
